Whether the machine, mold or heating elements needs maintenance to extend its service life and working efficiency, then the cartridge heaters we use is no exception. The following are some suggestions for use and maintenance cartridge heater:

1.The heating part of the cartridge heater should be fully immersed in the heating medium to avoid unsatisfactory heat emission and exceeding the allowable heating temperature to damage the cartridge heater. In addition, the lead-out part of the wiring should be exposed outside the insulation layer of the cartridge heater or the electric heating tube, so that this part should not be overheated and damaged;
2.Special attention should be paid to the heating medium when selecting cartridge heater. There is no erosion effect on the material of the cartridge heater and heating pipe shell;
3. The terminal of the cartridge heater should be relatively fastened by two nuts during wiring. Do not use excessive force to avoid the loosening of the screws and damage to the cartridge heater.
4.Input power, the voltage should not exceed 10% of the rated voltage marked on various cartridge heaters. If it is lower than the rated voltage, the heat generated by the cartridge heater will also decrease.
⒌The terminal of the cartridge heater should be kept clean and dry, otherwise it will reduce the insulation performance and be broken by the short circuit. If the environment of chemical corrosion, flammable, explosive and other liquids or gases is used, the cartridge heater should be wired insulation and sealing devices are used for protection to prevent accidents;
⒍When heating certain viscose and other substances, such as sodium nitrate, stearic acid, paraffin, etc., the power supply voltage should be reduced at the beginning of heating to reduce the heat generation of the cartridge heater, rated voltage for heating;
⒎Cartridge heater has been used for a long time. If thick pipe scale and oil dirt accumulate on the surface, it should be removed regularly. Otherwise, the heat transfer performance of the cartridge heater will be reduced and the heat load on the surface of the tube will be exceeded and damaged.
⒏The cartridge heater should be stored in a dry warehouse. If the surface is wet for a long time, the insulation resistance should be measured by using a megohmmeter. If it is less than 1 megohm / 500 volts, the cartridge heater should be placed in a 200-degree drying oven for drying.
